Bénédicte Perrott Founder & Director

Peintre.parfois founder and director, Bénédicte Perrott finds her roots in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She is a self-taught abstract painter. Prior to having her work featured outside Europe, Bénédicte held both solo and groups exhibition in Brussels and in Paris. She also worked with international artists and was invited to collaborate on partnerships and events with both non-profits and cultural institutions. Bénédicte, through peintre.parfois, aims to operate at the intersection of contemporary art and social change.

Bénédicte Perrott has a specific interest in race, social movements, state violence, incarceration and human dignity. Beyond her studio, Bénédicte spends time organizing and working on issues related to criminal justice and state violence. She is also a criminal lawyer, and a scholar Activist and recently conducted research on black resistance to policing and focused on decarceration and gang-related issues while working in New York City.

Bénédicte is driven by the belief that art thrives where it is felt and embraced. That it belongs in spaces where it resonates with those who encounter it, not only in those who can afford it. Therefore, she wants to democratize art, not to create objects for an elite few, but to build connections, spark reflection, and invite dialogue across all communities.

Bénédicte offers group and private workshops with a single guiding rule: fun and relaxation. She also accepts private project commissions and opens her home several times a year or by request to share her work and new collections, making art a shared experience rather than a distant spectacle.
